“ Very impressed all round by this pub restaurant. Built in an old bank and keeping much of that feel, there's a great atmosphere as soon as you enter. We came at a very busy time and needed to eat and leave within 50 minutes. No problem, they said. They didn't lie. Within fifteen minutes we had our food and drinks and were tucking in. I couldn't believe the prices. We thought there must be a catch, but there wasn't. Our fish and chips was tasty and even the mushy peas (that most restaurants fail at) were delicious. I will happily come here again. Great food, good service and live music performed for our delight. Perfect! ”
“ Let's talk about the Nachos!!! At The Old Bank the Nachos are toasted tortillas not crisps. The portion is more like a main course than a starter. The salsa, the guac, the sour cream and the jalapenos with a hint of cheese cuts through the cheese. They are a thing of wonder. Those nachos are just the best dish I've had in a very long time. 6 's a 5 category ”
“ We were looking for a place to have Scouse as first time visitors to the city. A lovely pair of ladies let us share their big booth table with them on a Sunday evening as there were not other spots available. My friend had the scouse which was great, and I had the best roast dinner of my life - generous service of the beef. Only shame was that the advertised cauliflower cheese on the menu was all out. Fantastic value at 12 though. We enjoyed our meals and the live music was great too. I am sure we will return if we are ever in Liverpool again. We were going to go to 2 other places nearby that rated highly for their scouse - one stopped serving food at 5pm, which we weren't aware of until we arrived at 5.15pm, and the other one was a very "blokey" pub feel which was not really our style as 2 ladies visiting a new city. The Old Bank was perfect and I'm so glad we walked past it. The young blonde lady who served us was lovely and gave us some tips about places to visit in the city. The ladies we shared the table with were disappointed with their fish and chips ones they saw my roast! ”
“ 10/10 experience at the Old Bank. From booking online, to the night of, staff were super helpful, friendly and accommodating. Great venue with good atmosphere, Christmas decorations and live music. Food was great and well priced. ”
“ From walking through the front door to sitting down we were impressed with the decor and atmosphere. The waiting staff were very polite, professional and made me feel like a regular even though it was my first time visiting liverpool. The food was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed every single bite. I would highly recommend The Old Bank to anyone visiting liverpool. ”
“ Called in after looking around for a place to have breakfast before going on walkabouts, ooh let's try here, not been in before, the place is set out with booths, table and chairs, a mezzanine with the bar centre stage, huge chandeliers hang from the ceiling with marbled columns scattered about, the ambience was great. We were seated straight away and served within a few minutes, the staff were lovely and friendly and our drinks were on the table approx 5 mins later. We ordered the 2 large breakfasts with a cup of coffee and a glass of OJ, thw food was very tasty and filling, must admit the sausages were one of the best I've ever eaten. All this was less than 30, 5 all round, thank you so much ”
“ We had a wonderful time at The Old Bank. We had a side of loaded nachoes and a main of scouse to share, and everything was delicious. The nachoes came with the classic trio of dips (guacamole, sour cream, tomato salsa) and cheese, and the scouse was one of the best we had ever had. Despite sharing, everything was enough for 2 people to eat their fill. The staff was incredibly accommodating, offering to serve the scouse in 2 separate bowls to share between ourselves. The attention to detail left us in awe, and we had a fantastic time. As we arrived in the evening, we had the pleasure of listening to one full set of a live performance, the perfect vibe for a day out. ”
“ Okay, cards on the table, I love this place. Been coming for over two years during the week and it's consistently very good. Great atmosphere, the food is super and well priced ( note to management that's not a reason to put the prices up!). Live music from singers who play guitar every night from 5pm till 8.45ish. Comfortable seating upstairs and downstairs on the large bunketts, at least 9 of these, especially good with the football on ( it's only a game remember). My favourite dish is the Caesar salad, which is well worth it at only 8. Best waitress is Lydia, always has a smile and attentive service no matter how busy it gets. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do! ”
